General Post Description
To actively support and assist the Community Engagement Officer in the efficient implementation of community engagement initiatives. The mission is to contribute to the success of the project by providing logistical, administrative, and research support, thus facilitating effective communication between the project team and the community. The intern is committed to learning and growing within the field of humanitarian work while contributing to the advancement of community-driven development in the target areas.
Tasks:
1. Assist in arranging logistics for meetings, such as booking venues, preparing materials, and ensuring refreshments are available.
2. Assist in data collection during community dialogue sessions and focus group discussions by taking notes or recording key points and support in documenting meeting minutes and outcomes, ensuring that important discussions and decisions are captured accurately.
3. Conduct basic research on community engagement practices and assist in gathering relevant resources or articles for reference.
4. Participate in participant lists and feedback collection from community members during dialogue sessions, ensuring that the forms are distributed and collected efficiently.
5. Assist in data entry and initial analysis of collected feedback.
6. Provide general administrative support, such as photocopying, filing, and organizing project-related materials.
7. Assist with basic office tasks to ensure smooth project operations.
8. Help with promoting community engagement events and assist in setting up event venues and ensuring they are welcoming and accessible.
9. Support in compiling data and information for regular project progress reports, under the guidance of the Community Engagement Officer.
Other:
- will prepare and deliver a monthly presentation to the project Officer and Advisor, sharing findings, reflections from field experiences, insights, and recommendations related to community engagement.
Eligibility:
1. Female.
2. Education and work experience options: a. Currently in the last year of university (master, bachelor, doctorate).
b. Has a graduation certificate from University (bachelor, master, or PhD), but has none or very limited practical work experience (not longer than 12 months).
c. Was enrolled in university prior to the conflict, finished at least 2 years of university studies but has not finished studies and received a certificate due to the conflict, but has none or very limited practical work experience (not longer than 12 months).
d. Returning to the labor market after maternity leave, with a diploma in a relevant field and not having work experience longer than 24 months.
3. Education profile must be relevant for the position
4. Must have intermediate knowledge of computer and MS Office programs.
5. Willingness to learn, motivation to gain experience, pro-active.
6. In case of need, able and willing to travel, engage in field-work.
7. Understands this is a short-term, learning opportunity.
