General Unit Description
PIN’s Cash for Work Programs aims at providing vulnerable households with temporary income so they meet their basic needs while contributing towards improving community and public infrastructure and services in Northwest Syria.
The Cash for Work Assistant supports day-to-day activities of the CFW program in PIN’s selected locations in northwest Syria.
Principal Job duties (responsibilities AND TASKS):
Project Management
• Works closely with the CFW Officer to support day-to-day management and oversight of all activities relating to CFW, including preparing for CFW activities onsite and communicating with CFW participants
• Conduct regular monitoring of CFW activities on a daily and weekly basis
• Conduct and support needs assessments and collection of data and information in operational areas
• Assist in the communications of planning and coordination with community representatives and local councils
• Liaise closely with M&E field team to ensure verification, registration and monitoring are conducted in a timely manner
• Supports effective and timely communication with other departments as needed
• Provide daily and weekly reporting on activities to line manager including any new security information, challenges and recommendations
II. Other
• Other tasks assigned by employee’s Line Manager corresponding to actual needs of the mission, programs, and projects
• Understand and adhere to the mission’s National Staff Handbook, PIN Code of Conduct, PIN Key Policies and relevant guidelines
Principal competences required:
. Technical competencies:
• High school education / Bachelor degree
• 1 year of working experience (desirable)
• Some experience in NGO setting whether as staff or volunteer (desirable)
• Communications skills in Arabic (compulsory) and English (desirable)
• Proficient in basic MS office required. Knowledge of other application such as Kobo (desirable)
